Navigator's Mapmaking

This large diptych was created with bold gestural brushwork and fixed charcoal; it has energetic movement with layers of forms, some suggestive of life moving through water as in a pond. The paints are handled in numerous ways, from transparent to thick impasto. Shipped flat in two panels stacked together, it's signed on the back and ready to hang.
