Anais Nin Basket

Simply put, this basket is for people who pursue their dreams. The words around the rim depict a quote by Anais Nin: “Dreams are necessary to life.” The structure of the basket uses both bright stainless and dark annealed steel wire. The stainless steel, woven in a traditional basketry technique, forms a silver-toned backdrop for the vintage plastic letters. Below this bright band, the weave changes to dark and transitions, or fades, back to light at the base. The perimeter of the rim is studded with metal beads.
