Seeking to capture the brilliant colors of sunrise and sunset at the same time, the artist creates a remarkable kiln-formed sculpture in transparent iridized and opaque glass. She works in stages, first assembling and kiln-firing glass into colorful designs, then cutting these designs into strips and arranging them into a striking composition full of color and light.
