Melting Pot

The colorful, eye-catching design of this kiln-formed art glass vessel is created by using several fused glass techniques. The artist begin's by using on-edge construction, assembling pieces of glass strips on their edges, and fired them at high temperature. When cooled, the piece is sliced into squares, arranged in the desired composition, and fired again. After cold working, the piece is slumped several times to create its shape. This one of a kind artwork makes a statement in any space.
