Pomegranate Saggar-Fired Vase

Part of a series of saggar-fired vessels inspired by Iron and Bronze age discoveries as seen in museums and anthropological publications, this work is wheel-thrown from white stoneware. It displays an ancient aesthetic with its inscribed neck bands and terra sigillata-covered body, which is protected by a layer of lightly-buffed Carnauba wax.
