Cream and Blue Sculptural Glass Bowl - Resilience Series

This one-of-a-kind kiln-formed glass artwork is from the artist's "Resilience" series. To create the work, the artist first cut a circle of translucent glass, then shattered and carefully reassembled it. The cracks were filled with finely powdered glass and fired at high temperatures until the fragments fused into a single solid form. Diamond cold-working tools were then used to refine the surface and shape. In a final firing, the artwork was slumped into a shallow sculptural bowl form. The piece is signed by the artist on the bottom.
