Cream and Light Aqua Sculptural Glass Bowl - Resilience Series

This one-of-a-kind kiln-formed glass artwork is from the artist's "Resilience" series. To create the work, the artist first cut a circle of translucent glass, then shattered and carefully reassembled the pieces. The cracks were filled with finely powdered glass, and the piece was fired at high temperatures until the fragments fused into a single solid form. Diamond cold-working tools were then used to refine the surface and shape. In a final firing, the artwork was slumped into a sculptural bowl form. The piece is signed by the artist on the bottom.
