Deadfall

Deadfall is a necessary element in any forest. One tree dies, falls and feeds the others for years as it decays. In this case the tree fell across a creek, exposing the elaborate root structure and providing a natural "bridge" across the water. Surrounding the scene are birds and animals which take advantage of the life-giving water. Details found around the creek are highlighted in panels. On wood panel with painted sides.
