Sunflower Field

The once-bright sunflowers are gracefully wilting, colors become soft and complex, stems and leaves are bending in elegant arcs. This is a deliberate movement, a final dance as the plant folds back into itself, conserving energy and preparing to scatter the seeds of the future. Painted on hand-dyed cotton, machine quilted.
