Flying - Sage

The figures in much of Tomoko Suzuki's art are tributes to Bodhisattvas, beings that compassionately refrain from entering nirvana to save others. While the figure is worshipped as a deity in Mahayana Buddhism, Suzuki's figures instead act as a reminder of the extraordinary powers of ordinary human beings.
