Peeling the Layers

Inspired by primitive forms and architecture, this one-of-a-kind piece was hand-built with porcelain clay, extruded and molded over a block. Textured with a heavy grog, layered with slip and glazes, and fired multiple times at varying temperatures, this work displays a complex, weathered surface. Mounted on a hollow aluminum tube, it's signed on the back and ready to hang.
