Rainforest

This piece was created by carving into a block of wood, leaving the edges to serve as a frame. Then the interior was sealed with white gesso and filled with colored epoxy resin, which dried to a hard, glassy finish. This technique was developed by artist Marceil DeLacy to create a unique kind of wall hanging.
