The Shining Land Scarf

Okano's monthly essay-Letters Collection is interpretation by the everyday's life, art and culture. Scarves are hand painted on silk double woven fabric. After the fabric goes through the degumming process and is painted, the silk has a wonderful sheen and texture. Okano's use of color and hand painting captures the language of calm.
