In an attempt to capture the phenomena of light refraction, the artist is painting, drawing and scribbling on multiple fabric layers. Sheer organza overlays with the same painted patterns are manipulated to float in organic waves, creating a juxtaposition of lines. This challenges the viewer's perception as to what lines are on the surface. As the lines intermingle, a three-dimensional effect occurs. Some of the lines appear to float off the surface.
