Spinning Away

Russell Thurston looks at every painting as an experiment and exploration, but also as a collaboration between his initial plans and what develops as he paints. Thurston works with encaustic materials and often embeds items from nature into his work.

This encaustic, pigment stick, and collage was created on heavy rag paper and includes a handmade oak float frame. It's ready to hang.
