Strata

A lake bed, a topographical map, a raw geode—this abstract wall sculpture invites interpretation. Though it reads as a thick, solid slab, the piece is hand-hammered from a single sheet of copper, its dimensional relief driven directly into the metal by thousands of hammer blows. A vibrant green patina, developed over weeks in the studio, pools in the recesses against the clean copper surface. Ready to hang and signed on the back.
